The Treatment
Techniques vary according to the treated area. Botox of Dysport injections are performed in an outpatient facility and are usually quite fast. You will be asked to sit in a reclining chair. No anesthesia is required, although the doctor may choose to numb the area with local anesthesia or a cold pack. The doctor will determine how many injections are necessary and where to administer them, by examining your ability to move certain muscles. Then, he /she will apply several injections using a very fine needle. Theses injections are applied directly into the muscles that are causing wrinkles or lines. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. For best results, skin should be healthy, without bruises or signs of infection.
*Anesthesia: local anaesthesia, combined with a sedative.
