Step 5. Post-Op

Recover, Have Fun, Return Home

After the procedures are performed, you will awake in the Recovery Room, where a team of recovery specialists will care for you over the next few hours. When the recovery team confirms that you are ready to return to your hotel, the doctor will give you post-op instructions. We will accompany you back to your hotel, where you will rest for the next few days and follow the doctor's post-op recommendations. Recovery time varies depending on the procedure and on the patient's health and pre-existing medical conditions.

During the next few days of rest and recovery, members of our staff and nurses will visit you at your hotel to check on you.

You will be required to go to the surgery center for a follow-up visit, so the doctor can assess the progress of your recovery. Following this visit, patients can begin to do activities, depending on the doctor's recommendations. Patients can often engage in low-impact activities like shopping, walking in a park, going out to cafes or restaurants, or going to a movie. See a complete list of Services & Activities.

There will be a final medical consultation in the coming days when the physician will confirm that you are ready to return home. (See a Sample Itinerary).

We will coordinate tourist and leisure activities you are interested in, such as a trip to one of the city's many art museums, a shopping excursion, tickets to a tango show, or dinner reservations at a world-famous Argentinean steakhouse. .

On the day of your departure, we will accompany you to the airport and say farewell to the new, improved you!
